A team of like-minded volunteers has seen long lost friends reconnecting, helped people to get back out socializing in a different way as we move out of the pandemic & formed friendships across the county in the most unusual and beautiful ways!

Based across Fermanagh, Northern Ireland our current team of 14 volunteers come from all corners of the county. The mix of rural and townies we have has opened our eyes to the lesser-known places County Fermanagh has to offer!
Together we have explored Fermanagh both on land and water. Bringing together the people of Fermanagh at least twice a month at the weekends

Three of our amazing volunteers Cona Gallagher, Shea Daly & Megan O’Brien lead a weekly sunrise morning swim at the peaceful Ely Lodge. This group has not only grown in size, over the past few months but week on week it is heartwarming to see people’s confidence improve, their bravery grow & friendships form.

In Fermanagh we may not be a coastal county, but we are blessed to have the Fermanagh Lakelands and to have the only Island Town in Ireland – our adventures have seen us take on the spectacular hikes in the area, swim or dip our toes in the impressive loughs of the area and on the quieter weekends we had a the occasional book swap group come together for a cuppa and talk about all things literature.
As part of our endeavors to give back to the community we make a conscious effort to support the local community around us – engaging with outdoor activity centers, yoga instructors and independent coffee shops, we have connected with many incredible businesses and on occasion been able to support local charity The Hygiene Bank when hosting Sunset BBQs.

Social Sunrise Fermanagh is here to encourage you to step out of your comfort zone, to challenge yourself and show you that you can do whatever you put your mind to. We are here for a quick chat, a lasting friendship, and to help you discover and appreciate the beauty of Fermanagh.
